Bidding ends today for the Fifth Annual BAMart Silent Auction, featuring works from over 150 artists and designers for every budget (the cheapest item, a print by Daniel Davidson, opens at $100, while a diptych by Chuck Close, created as the cover art for BAM's 2008 Next Wave Festival BAMbill, opens at $20,000 - valued at $30,000).
Bidding ends tonight, so check out the catalogue now, featuring design, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, print, and sculpture.
Highlights include a Madeline Weinrib designed carpet, which the winning bidder can color customize, and some brand new works by artists like Francesco Clemente, Rita Ackermann, Nadine Robinson and Louise Bourgeois.
If you're able to get down to BAM today, you can view and bid in person at the academy's computer kiosks provided by Tekserve, 7 days a week during BAM lobby hours. You can also view and bid online until 8 p.m. tonight at BAM.org/auction.
