Party with a purpose

Tonight, Brooklyn Vanguard, the young donar group of the Brooklyn Public Library, wants you to party with a purpose at its fundraiser for its Support Our Shelves campaign.

Proceeds help purchase books and DVDs, as well as suport educational programs at the Clinton Hill Library.

The party will be in the neighborhood at the Franklin Park Bar and Beer Garden (618 St. Johns Place near Franklin Avenue), and DJ Cosmo Baker will be supplying the music. You provide the cheer.

Tickets are $40 in advance, available here, or $50 at the door (cash only). There will b complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer. Specialty drinks are $5. (Bar is cash only, too.)
