Brooklyn Bowl buzz

Mother Nature Network has a nice piece on Brooklyn Bowl, focusing on the green aspects of the bowling alley/music venue/restaurant, from the Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood to the exclusively local beers.

That's the latest in coverage of the as-yet-unopened venue. Buzz is an understatement, as the progress of the bowling alley has been tracked for nearly two years now.

With the opening date a question mark for several months now, it seemed Brooklyn Bowl would have a debut in the Northside Festival. Though with the venue not quite ready yet for an opening this weekend, the O'Death show scheduled for June 13 is now at Music Hall of Williamsburg.

One thing's for sure - you can get your bowl in September, when the venue hosts a Lebowski Fest on September 24. You can even get your tickets now ($30 to bowl, $22 to watch).
