This week in 24/Seven

Each week we'll preview what you can expect in our 24/Seven print edition, out Thursday for you southern Brooklynites and Friday for the downtown neighborhoods.

Highlights include:

Festivals: Between the Brooklyn Music Festival June 21 at Aviator, featuring Beenie Man, and the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in DUMBO June 22, featuring Pharoahe Monch, you can have your fill of reggae, dance hall and hip-hop without ever leaving home.

Music: Big names come to Brooklyn again through the Seaside Summer Concerts at Asser Levy Park this summer. Get a sneak peak at who's gonna be there.

Dance: A highlight of this year's Greening the Ridge Festival in Bay Ridge is sure to be "What We Can See From Here," a site-specific performance along the waterfront. See it June 14 at Veteran’s Memorial Pier at 69th Street.

Comedy: Laugh for a good cause during Comedy for Cancer, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, June 18 at Southpaw, with acts by such local talent as Nick Ross, The Adam & Trevor Show, and Beyonce Knowledge.

Columns: In the kitchen, Mangiare Bene discusses the importance of a well-stocked pantry and the Kitchen Klutz tries her hand at stuffed baked tomatoes, while Pumps & Pleats visits the jungle that is Fox's in Midwood.

For these stories and more, pick up a copy in your nabe or check back here later this week!
