Tonight: fun and games
Looking for a fun time tonight?
At Southpaw, have a big laugh at cancer through the ACS benefit, Comedy for Cancer. On the bill are The Upright Citizens Brigade, The People’s Improv Theater and College Humor alums like sketch groups The Uncles, The Adam & Trevor Show, improv group Beyonce Knowledge, and stand up comedians Brett Anderson, Nick Cobb and headliner Nick P. Ross, a cancer survivor himself.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, with the show at 8 p.m. Southpaw is located at 125 Fifth Avenue.
Also tonight, over at Union Hall, you can put all those lame Saturday nights spent playing Monopoly to good use in the Board Game Olympics. Teams of four will compete in round robin-style in a variety of games like: Trivial Pursuit, Jenga, Connect Four, Operation and more. The "winningest" team brings home the "gold." There will also be plenty of extra games provided on the sidelines for those with a less competitive streak.
Sign-up early here or just come with some friends. It happens from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and is free. Union Hall is located at 702 Union Street.
