Funny business

Sean McCarthy of the Comic's Comic reports that one of the newsest additions to the Saturday Night Live cast is none other than a Brooklynite.

Jenny Slate, known each week for her work with Big Terrific, every Wednesday in Williamsburg at Cameo, is reportedly one of the newest female cast additions (the other being Nasim Pedrad).

NBC isn't confirmed either way, but McCarthy was the first to break the news of SNL's last hires, so it comes on good authority.

Being she won't be at tonight's Big Terrific (though Eugene Mirman, Leo Allen, Brent Sullivan and more will), the 35th season of SNL starts September 26, so tune in then and maybe you'll see some Brooklyn talent on screen.
