Casting call
This just in from the Narrows Community Theater:
Last Chance to Audition: Wednesday, October 13! We need men! "NCT Christmas Ball" Michel Schneider will be Directing, with Jennifer DeVane as Choreographer, Markus Hauck as Musical Director. NCT’s Musical Christmas Ball is a song and dance review celebrating the holiday season. Performances: December 3, 4 and 5 at St. Patrick’s Auditorium Friday, December 10th at Shore Hill Center Michel's been working since July to assemble a collection of unique holiday favorites to highlight our extremely talented pool of performers. Our goal is to have an ensemble of 12-16 adults, 12 kids and 4 dancers. Below is a breakdown of the voice-type numbers in the show:
- 3 Full Company Numbers;
- 3 Smaller Ensemble Numbers;
- 2 Kids Numbers
- 3 SATB Quartettes;
- 7 Solos (Adults or Kids);
- 1 Male Quartette;
- 1 Female Duet; and
- 1 Female Trio
345 78th Street (between 3rd and 4th Avenues) Please bring 2 headshots and 2 resumes along with 16 bars of an up-tempo and a ballad in the appropriate key. A Cappella auditions will NOT be accepted. We need to hear how well you work with an accompanist and how well you sing on pitch. Les Miz’s Music Director Terry Hansen will be the accompanist at the auditions. Jennifer will teach you a dance combination so please bring dancewear, even if you think you can’t dance. We hope to have everyone move at some point in the show.
