Celebrate Brooklyn: The summer-long music, film and theater series comes to an end this weekend, with one of the biggest music acts, Animal Collective, playing two days of benefit concerts (also Saturday). No hope for tickets tonight, but tomorrow's show is still available. Or, you could sneak a listen from outside the Bandshell. The band goes on at 8:15 p.m. Prospect Park Bandshell located at Prospect Park West and 9th Street.

Music: The Guggenheim comes to the 718. Highlighting Brooklyn's "cultural renaissance," The Walkmen, High Places, The Brooklyn Steppers Marching Band, and Colson Whitehead, as well as comedian Leo Allen, kicking off the museum's "It Came From Brooklyn" monthly series. At 8 p.m. Tickets are $45, $40 if you're a member. The Guggenheim is located at 1071 Fifth Avenue.

Art: Have "A Night Out on Smith Street" at the Crooked Tail Cafe in Gowanus. The exhibition of inked portraits by Philip J. Lockerby and Zartosht Soltani kicks off tonight at 7 p.m., running throughout September. You might even see your favorite bartender, as the subjects featured tend bar at a selection of Carroll Gardens and Park Slope haunts, including Sample, Zombie Hut, Boat, The Bell House, Canal Bar, Great Lakes, The Gate, and many more. The cafe is located at 272 Third Avenue.

BKLYN Yard: New NYC supergroup The Phenomenal Handclap Band come to the BKLYN Yard in Gowanus tonight, bringing their anthemic, dancefloor-oriented and orchestral sound with them. Also performing that night are Tanlines and Q&A. Starting at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10. RSVP to info@thewurstwebsite for guarenteed admission. The Yard is located at 400 Carroll Street.

Video: Video nerds, listen up. Monkey Town in Williamsburg hosts a VIMEO Super Meet Up tonight. From 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., the folks at VIMEO will screen videos. Why do what you can do at home, alone, than at a bar with some new friends? Free. Monkey Town is located at 58 North 3rd Street.

After Party: After rocking out to Animal Collective, head to the official afterparty at The Bell House in Gowanus. Continue to dance with the Animal Collective Round Robin DJ Crew & special guest DJ Andy Beta. Tickest are $5, or free with your ticket stub. At 10:30 p.m. The Bell House is located at 149 7th Street.

Pool Party: In this week's edition, Del Tha Funky Homosapien, Toronto buzz band DD/MM/YYYY, Gravy Train!!! (their exclamation points, not ours, though they look like fun), Kenan Bell, and DJ Prince Paul play the popular Pool Parties at the Williamsburg waterfront.
