Highlights include:
Museum: The Guggenheim notes Brooklyn's cultural renaissance with the series, "It Came From Brooklyn." The concert/reading series kicks off August 14 with The Walkmen, High Places, the Brooklyn Steppers Marching Band, and author Colson Whitehead, with comedian Leo Allen serving as the MC.
Books: Our own Stephen Witt celebrates the publication of his debut novel, American Moses, with a party at Harry O’s located in downtown Brooklyn on August 14.
Music: Check out some of the most exciting music coming out of Brooklyn today when Fiery Furnaces do the Pool Parties August 9 and Amazing Baby play Pier 54 in Manhattan August 13.
