Saturday, Aug. 21

Gowanus: Asobi Sesku brings its shoegazy sound to 383 Carroll St., joined by some former Greenpoint Food Market vendors.

Flatbush: Taste 20 different homebrews at Sycamore's first Brooklyn Wort homebrewing competition.

Park Slope: Remember the Battle of Brooklyn with events in and around the Old Stone House.

Red Hook: All abroad the Gazela, the oldest sailing ship of its kind, which hosts tours and a burlesque show on Pier 11. While there, check out the Mary Whalen tanker before it ships out.
Sunday, Aug. 22

Borough-wide: Take the day to explore Brooklyn's public art scene, from still-life dogs to 20-foot-tall twig playgrounds. While you're at the Brooklyn Museum, ponder its latest exhibit, "Work of Art," featuring the winner of Bravo's reality TV show.
