Where better to celebrate the release of a book about boxing than an actual ring?

On August 8, JDub Records and Nextbook Press will fill DUMBO’s Gleason’s Gym with music, booze and boxing to mark the release of Douglas Century’s new book, “Barney Ross,” detailing the life of one of the most colorful boxers of the 21st century. In addition to signings by Century, there will also be autographs by boxer Dmitriy Salita, a live boxing match, and music from the four-DJ crew Soulico out of Tel Aviv, who will also be celebrating soon themselves when their debut release on JDub, “Exotic on the Speaker,” comes out early September.
