The Weekend: 7.8-7.10

Friday, July 8

Williamsburg: It's game on at the Brick, as its annual Game Play festival — video games meets theater — returns tonight with a free preview of all the pieces.

Gowanus: The Gowanus Canal has never been sexier, thanks to "La Calisto," a bedroom comedy of the gods running at Proteus Gowanus.

Park Slope: If you like free entertainment — and hey, who doesn't! — the Old Stone House hosts a production of "The Miser," and, nearby, Los Lobos go to town at Celebrate Brooklyn at Prospect Park.

Borough-wide: Find the best hot summer dance party near you!

Saturday, July 9

Park Slope: "Endure" gives a new definition to the term "long-running theater," as the one-woman show takes you through Prospect Park, trailing a marathoner.

Canarsie: Floyd Bennett Field is now home to JellyNYC's legendary parties. Don't worry, there's a bus from Williamsburg that will get you there and back.

Manhattan Beach: Hot jazz continues at Kingsborough Community College tonight, with the Danny Repole Swing Band.

Sunday, July 10

Williamsburg: The Feast of the Giglio is back — and today is the first "dance." Don't know what we're talking about? Check it out for yourself. You have to see it to believe it.

Cobble Hill: Head to Smith Street, as the strip gets turned into a giant petanque game for the annual Bastille Day festivities.
