It's all in the family at Burlesque at the Beach
By Meredith Deliso
Burlesque at the Beach is back. And this time, it’s all about the family.
On May 6, the randy season kicks off with “Family Night,” featuring the “sexiest Sicilians and the mafiosas with the most,” said Nasty Canasta of Sweet and Nasty Burlesque.
Canasta will be joined by criminal cutie Ruby Valentine, “The Alabaster Beauty” (pictured), who most likely will bring her killer nunchucks striptease act, inspired by the film “Black Dynamite,” as well as Sapphire Jones, Cheeky Lane, Hard Corey and Killer Puttanesca as they tease and titillate at this burlesque family affair.
“After all, as a loose consortium of legitimate business people, do we not have the right to celebrate our professional associations with the removal of clothing in a highly enjoyable public manner, accompanied by the twirling of tassels and the occasional bump or grind?” asked Canasta.
The answer, of course, is yes. Yes, they do.
“Family Night” at Burlesque at the Beach [1208 Surf Ave. at W. 12th Street in Coney Island, (718) 372-5159], May 6 at 10 pm. Tickets $15. For info, visit www.sweetandnastyburlesque.com.
